I consider myself lucky to have a training partner/confidant like Carl Massaro. Carl is a true martial artist who understands jiu-jitsu from every angle...self-defense, sport, artform. He has had some of the best instruction through his journey through jiu-jitsu that you can possibly have, training with Renzo Gracie himself and John Danaher. He has seen jiu-jitsu through the eyes of a practioner, competitor, fighter, coach, cornerman and referee. He has seen it from every angle. My biggest compliment I can give Carl is, if I had children, I would bring them to Carl.
